Frequently Asked Questions

Who is God?

God is Trinity, an eternal, loving unity of three divine Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; John 14:26; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

What is God's purpose for us?

God, our loving Heavenly Father, wants us to find happiness and joy. He created a plan for us to grow, live by faith, and return to live with Him someday.  His plan gives meaning and context to our life here on earth.

What does God say about hope?

"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint."

"Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

Who are able to walk with God?

As individuals, as couples, and as families, we need a daily conversation with God through Bible reading and prayer. (Psalm 1; Daniel 6:10; Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Ephesians 6:18; 1 Thessalonians 5:17)

Who is Jesus Christ?

Jesus, the promised Messiah of Israel, fully God and fully man. (Matthew 1:21-23; John 1:1,14; 20:28; Hebrews 1:1-4, 2:14)

Many people will acknowledge Jesus Christ as a good man, a great teacher, or even a prophet of God. These things are definitely true of Jesus, but they do not fully define who He truly is. The Bible tells us that Jesus is God in the flesh, God in human form. God came to earth to teach us, heal us, correct us, forgive us-and die for us! Jesus Christ is God, the Creator, the sovereign Lord.

What is Jesus' Phone Number?

Jeremiah 33:3

'Call to me, and I will answer you, and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.' (Jeremiah 33:3)

Jesus' Life and Victory?

Jesus was born of a virgin, obeyed God perfectly, worked great miracles, died on a cross, rose from the dead, ascended to heaven, and reigns over all things. (Luke 1:26-35, Hebrews 4:15; John 14:11, Luke 23-24, Ephesians 1:20-23)

Is Jesus our "personal" Savior?

Many people view Christianity as attending church, performing rituals, and/or not committing certain sins. That is not Christianity. True Christianity is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Accepting Jesus as your personal Savior means placing your own personal faith and trust in Him. No one is saved by the faith of others. No one is forgiven by doing certain deeds. The only way to be saved is to personally accept Jesus as your Savior, trusting in His death as the payment for your sins and His resurrection as your guarantee of eternal life (John 3:16).

What is a Savior, and why do we need a Savior?

The Bible tells us that we have all sinned; we have all committed evil acts (Romans 3:10-18). As a result of our sin, we deserve God's anger and judgment. The only just punishment for sins committed against an infinite and eternal God is an infinite punishment (Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:11-15). That is why we need a Savior!

Jesus Christ came to earth and died in our place. Jesus' death was an infinite payment for our sins (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sins (Romans 5:8). Jesus paid the price so that we would not have to. Jesus' resurrection from the dead proved that His death was sufficient to pay the penalty for our sins. That is why Jesus is the one and only Savior (John 14:6; Acts 4:12)!

Is the Church a building or a person?

The Church is the people, not the building.  Church is used to describe one body of God's people throughout all generations and from all nations. An assembly of Christian believers.  (Romans 12:5; Galatians 3:26-29; Ephesians 1:22-23; Revelation 7:9)

(2 Corinthians 6:16) We believers, are now the temple of the living God!  The bible says that, if you believe in Jesus Christ, YOU are God's temple.

What is difference between a Church and a Ministry?

A Church is a well structured organization defined in scripture regarding its protocol and governance.  A Ministry is much more flexible.  It is only governed by the principles of Christianity without the protocols of a church.

What is your ministry?

Offering your whole life in service to God.

What is the purpose of marriage?

The purpose of marriage is not your happiness. The byproduct of marriage should be happiness, but that is not the purpose of marriage. The purpose of marriage is to glorify God. The purpose of marriage is when a man and a woman come together, they have an assignment to fulfill. A Kingdom assignment. And that assignment is to reflect the image of God through that marriage. If you do that right, it should lead to happiness; but a lot of us go into relationships to find happiness, to find joy, to find meaning. You can find only that in a relationship with Jesus Christ.

What happens after we die?

Many of us wonder what happens after we die. We lived before we came to earth, and we will continue to live after we die. Knowing this plan can provide comfort and peace about death. While we mourn for those loved ones we've lost, there is hope—death is not the end.

What happens when we die?

When we die, our spirit and body separate. Even though our body dies, our spirit—which is the essence of who we are—lives on. Our spirit goes to the spirit world. The spirit world is a waiting period until we receive the gift of resurrection, when our spirits will reunite with our bodies. Our future resurrected body cannot die and will be perfect—free from pain, sickness, and imperfections. It is because of the infinite love of Jesus Christ that everyone will be resurrected.

What happens after the resurrection?

It is at the time of resurrection that each of us will be judged individually by Jesus, our Savior. This final judgment will be based on our desires, actions, and choices.

Only God and Jesus know our hearts and our life circumstances perfectly, so only they can judge us perfectly. This judgment will be one of mercy, healing, and love (see Revelation 21:4).

God's ultimate goal is to help all His children return to live with Him in the celestial kingdom. Yet it is our choices here and now that will shape where we spend eternity. We must believe in Jesus Christ, repent of our sins, be baptized in His name, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. We also need to keep the commandments throughout the rest of our lives—and repent when we fall short.

Fact.

Many people reject Jesus Christ because of bad experiences with Religious people.  But, here's the thing... Jesus had bad experiences with Religious people, too.  In fact, they killed him. People will let you down.  Jesus won't.

Fact.

It's believed that two-thirds of young people who grew up in the church have stopped attending regularly as they reach adulthood.  There are a number of reasons for this, but one stood out that I know we can improve on.

About One-third of those young people said the reason they stopped attending was that they never developed a real connection or built a lasting relationship with anyone at the church.  That is disappointing.

There is a powerful and simple way to make them feel encouraged, embraced, and excited to be a part of the church community.

In fact, it's something everyone uses every day...

The internet!  The internet is by far the most effective way to communicate with people today.

Report shows Internet usage by American adults as high as 87%, while young adults aged between 18 and 29 were at 97%.

That's why Straight to The Point Ministries, gives people a place to connect with God, and keep them engaged, encourage more people to grow in faith.
